Boeing has discovered a new problem with the software of its 737 Max aircraft. The company, however, assured that eliminating the problem would not prevent the aircraft from returning to service in mid-2020, Bloomberg reported.

Manufacturer Boeing 737 Max detected the error during test flights last month and has already notified the regulator of the problem. According to the company, due to changes in the operation of computers used to control the flight of aircraft, the indicator that the trimmer trim was not working did not turn on for no reason.

“We will make changes to the 737 Max software so that this indicator lights up only on purpose until (time) resumes,” the airline promised.

Flights on the Boeing 737 Max were suspended on March 13 last year because of two fatal crashes that killed 346 people. According to the company’s plans, the aircraft should be put back into service by mid-2020.
