Xiaomi has built a super-factory in Beijing’s special economic zone to produce leading smartphones. This week, company vice president and brand leader Redmi Lou Weibing officially opened the business.
The new factory will not only produce standard flagship models (the first will be the Mi 9 Pro 5G), but will also serve the R&D department of a Chinese company, IT Home reported.
Lin Bin, co-founder and president of Xiaomi, even participated in testing the smartphone, specifically by attaching the back panel. According to him on the social network Weibo, his operation took six times more time than a robot mounted on a conveyor.
Factory installation of smartphones is already in test mode, with some procedures being fully automated. The factory will start mass production of smartphones, probably this month.
