The EU may force Facebook to delete comments from social networking accounts

Facebook is a good platform for communicating with people who are far from us and for finding attractive content on the Internet. The largest social network has over 2 billion users who share a lot of information about themselves and their loved ones on a daily basis.

This can become a problem as it leads to the spread of false news and false content.

The company makes a lot of effort to filter out the Facebook comments section to prevent insults from obscene and indecent content. Regulators in some countries have already raised the question of whether they can force the company to erase comments.

Macey Spoonar is the name of the general attorney and adviser to the EU High Court, who believes that such a measure of control over Facebook should be ensured.

According to him, a tool is needed to get the company to delete certain comments from the accounts if there is a relevant court order. This idea is still not legislative, but it is discussed among EU lawyers.
