The Korean manufacturer officially announced its ambitious plans to become a global leader in the mobile process industry in the world. Samsung has built a budget of an impressive $ 116 billion to surpass its competitors and become the largest maker in this segment in the long run.

If everything happens, the company should surpass Intel and establish a dominance of the global processor market by the end of 2030, according to Bloomberg.

The semiconductor division generates more than 70% of Samsung’s operating revenues in 2018. Currently, the company focuses mainly on the development of NAND and DRAM memory but will invest in the future to extend its range to all market segments of smartphones and laptops, via computers and servers to Internet-connected cars.

The new strategic framework of the company encompasses a ten-year period, which will create 15,000 jobs.

Samsung will offer a diversified portfolio in all product categories and will, therefore, try to use the best of its impressive investment. Thus, the company will simultaneously compete with Qualcomm and TSMC in the smartphone market, but also with Intel in the field of computers and laptops.

Their strategy also includes building several new production facilities in the coming years to take on the expected number of orders for their hardware partners.
