Microsoft is forced to create a completely new version of its web browser. A big change in the updated Edge is the fact that it uses Chromium open source.

Earlier this year, we announced that a new version of Microsoft Edge is now available for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. Switching to Google Chrome engine means that web browsers look and work alike. However, there are tangible differences in the actual presentation of both titles.

The use of Google Chrome’s Blink engine has allowed Microsoft to address some of the major disadvantages of the web browser. Users can expect faster speeds and access to the Chrome Web Store app collection.

Despite the improvements, Google seems to be unhappy with the result Microsoft has achieved to adjust their engine title. This is why Google started playing warning messages to Microsoft Edge users.

The message text informs users that Microsoft Edge is not a sufficiently protected browser and encourages them to switch to Google Chrome. It’s time to point out here that other alternative browsers like Vivaldi and Brave also use Chromium code.

In this case, however, Google does not show such notifications, informs WindowsLatest. So far, no official details have been provided to prove the company’s behavior, including why it is trying to distract consumers from its rival browser.
