During Computex 2019, the company unveiled the first integrated smartphone processor with the technology called MediaTek 5G SoC. MediaTek 5G SoC is manufactured with sophisticated 7-nanometer technology and is the first chip that takes advantage of the ARM Cortex-A77 and Mali-G77 architectures, VentureBeat reports.

The new 7-nanometer “Deimos” cores provide between 20-35% greater performance than the Cortex-A76. The graphics chip guarantees a 30% faster speed, but consumes 30% less power. ARM promises 60% improvement in computer tasks with artificial intelligence and machine training.

Manufacturers will be able to test the capabilities of MediaTek 5G SoC before the end of the year, and the first real-time devices on the market will be available in the first three months of 2020.
