The Kazakh Customs Service detained a batch of Antminer S9, which they tried to smuggle into the country from China. The total cost of the equipment is estimated at more than 253 million tenge (about 41 million rubles), Zakon.kz reports.

“As a result of customs inspection and weighing of the entire batch of goods, a surplus of used Antminer S9 was found in the container, which relates to equipment for cryptocurrency mining, with a total weight of 11,845 kg,” it was reported.

The preliminary amount of customs payments and taxes is estimated at 30,388,463 tenge (almost 5 million rubles).
